We had a beach clean on Saturday we got about 40 big bags of rubbish and we found a big mattress too . I think the beach is much cleaner now . We made all the helpers soup and rolls to thank them for coming to help us clean the beach.
That night the scouts camped in a field outside Ballantrae in our new tents. When we got up the next day we went on a seven mile big ride it was lots of fun as some of the track was off road and a bit muddy .

On Saturday the scout group joined in with the Ayrshire rotary clubs big beach clean but we decided this year we would do our own stretch of beach here in Ballantrae.
We invited locals to come and join us and had a great turnout of volunteers to help us . We collected over 40 bags of rubbish (and a mattress!) from our wee stretch of beach. Afterwards we held a bonfire with soup and rolls and sausage for everyone that took part and even toasted some marshmallows on the fire.
